Kids Learn To Read assumes that your kids already know their phonics, i.e. the sounds that the letters make.  If your kids do not yet know their basic phonics, we recommend getting our best-selling Kids ABC Phonics app, which is the second app in the Intellijoy's reading curriculum series.  And if your kids have not yet had a chance to learn the names of the letters, we recommend that you download our Kids ABC Letters app first.

Kids Learn to Read is focused strictly on three letter words.   Being able to read longer words and sentences is a more advanced skill, covered in our upcoming Kids Practice Reading app.

To sum it up, Kids ABC Letters is about the names of the letters, Kids ABC Phonics is about the sounds of the letters, and Kids Reading Prep is about forming words.

The game has four wonderfully child-friendly sections.

✔ Learn to Blend with Tommy Turtle.  In this delightful learning activity, your children hand Tommy his walking stick and then sneakers and then a skateboard.  This drives how quickly the letter sounds are being pronounced.   It is a great way to practice blending letter sounds into words.

✔ Learn to Read with Tommy's Friends.  Kids get a fun reading practice as they are asked to match Tommy's animal friends with their skateboards and helmets.

✔ Learn to Form Words with Letter Cubes.  In this activity, kids get to make words in a way that's fun by turning letter real-looking blocks until the three letter word is spelled out.

Every section is designed so children enjoy success time after time and receive positive reinforcement from the likable lady teacher. So they want to keep learning.
